Our process for treating your child during an emergency is based upon the type of injury that they may have sustained. We evaluate the situation and take the necessary measures to make sure that your child is safe.

Our Process
If your child has a dental emergency during our office hours, we urge you to call the office as soon as possible. Dr. Febres and our staff place every emergency as a priority and your child will be seen immediately.
If the emergency has occurred after hours, please call our office and follow the directions at the end of the voicemail. Leave the details of the emergency and Dr. Febres will contact you as soon as possible.
If the emergency is life threatening please contact the nearest emergency room.

What do I bring with my child during an emergency?
Bring anything that your child will need during and after the treatment. If a tooth is lost or knocked out, bring the tooth if possible. Prior to your first visit, please gather and make a list of your child’s current medications. Please let us know if your child needs any pre-medications before their emergency treatment. What can I do during a toothache?
Apply a cold compress and contact our office to seek advice. We generally treat patients, no matter the condition, from birth until they reach eighteen years old. What should I do if I can’t get in touch with your office immediately?
Call or go to your nearest emergency room. Keep your child calm and seek medical help immediately. Don’t risk putting your child in any further danger. Then follow up with our office at your earliest convenience.
